textStop Waste of Tax Dollars on 2d Prosecution of H Weinstein by California Feminist Taxpayer
Harvey Weinstein, the 69 year old, very sick, film producer, sentenced to 23 years in prison in New York at age 67 for rape, a life sentence given his age,has now been extradited to Los Angeles where California taxpayers will have to pay millions of dollars for yet another rape trial of a sick old man. textTime to end the panic mode by Chris Hedges,Werner Rugemer &Wolfgang Pomrehn
Tyrannies reverse the rule of law. They turn law into an instrument of injustice. They cloak their crimes in false legality. They use the outward decorum of courts and trials to disguise their criminality. People like Julian who reveal this criminality and show it to the public are dangerous. For without the pretense of legality, tyranny loses credibility....

All citizens are equal in terms of their voting rights, but not in terms of their wealth - this is one of the great unsolved challenges of liberal systems of government. As long as economic inequality remains within bounds or even declines - and as long as it does not play a major role in political processes - the tension it creates is bearable....
