textDebra Saunders calls american indian name a 'kiddie name' by cp
Regardless of your opinion of the Berkeley tree protest, Chronicle editorialist Debra Saunders made a really ignorant statement when she wrote that Zachary Running Wolf uses a 'kiddie name', in her December 4th piece about the long running protest. In fact, one could easily argue that only a childish adult who knows next to nothing would be so ignorant of naming practices of american cultures....

textWe do not need any Fossil Fuel Toxic Spewing small power plants closer to the Bayview by Francisco Da Costa
Mayor Gavin Newsom has it all wrong - we do not need any Toxic Fossil Spewing small power plants closer to the Bayview. It does not matter what some bigoted Potrero cronies that work for Sophina Maxwell say - or for that matter Dennis Herrera or Aaron Peskin. Combustion Turbines or small fossil burning power plants closer to the Bayview - have NO place in the year 2007 and more - from an Entity - like J-Power Company that favors discrimination and does business in Burma. Our City of San Franc...

textUn-thanksgiving Day for thousands of American Indians and looking forward to a better day by Francisco Da Costa
While, most everyone loves to celebrate Thanksgiving Day - the First People - think deep on this Day when their rights, their land, their culture, their dignity was taken away from them. Today, the First People, are treated worst then second class citizens. California Governors issued edicts to kill - the First People and fetch $5 for each scalp. 18 treaties were signed between the First People of California and the United States Government - and none were kept. It is difficult to trust folks...

textSsan Leal at it again - opts for fossil fuel powerplants and digestors with no sound plan by Francisco Da Costa
It is pathetic when you hear Susan Leal speak - the woman has no clue what she is saying when it comes to sound infrastructure and the related issues. The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) is pushing for fossil fuel burning power plants in the year 2007. It is pushing for plans that have no sound blue print - it address most things wrong - and is wasting millions of dollars. It has NOT completed the Clean Water Projects but now wants to jump to address the Raw Sewage Projects....
