friends and supporters of David come to court to show opposition to his persecution
On Friday April the 10, friends and supporters of David came to the Alameda County Juvenile Court in Oakland. David has been arrested on January 7 in the demonstrations that followed the Oscar Grant murder. He is the only minor to face felony charges. According to David, he is targeted by the state for being a person of color, a communist (David is part of the Revolution Club), a community organizer, and from east Oakland. On Saturday, April 11th, at the West Oakland Public Library, family, friends, and former Black Panthers celebrated Lil' Bobby Hutton Day in honor of the 17-year-old Black Panther murdered by Oakland police in 1968.
