On Friday, May 20th, A reclaim the streets was held in downtown Palo Alto on University Avenue. The party lasted about an hour before people were dispersed by 3(yes, 3) different police forces from different cities working together. The entire downtown area was shut down to incoming traffic, and only a few arrests were made. Below are photos from the event. Pic 1 shows cops trying to clear a dumpster from the street. the shots weren’t coming from the front or even from the side. They were coming from behind, i.e. they were driving away. So, the idea that this was an act of self-defense, I think becomes much more questionable...
