The April 15 rallies in SF and San Jose that some antiracist and immigrant rights folks plan to protest are NOT Minutemen events. They are part of the 250-city "Tea Party" meet up demonstrations organized through a conservative Move-On style website. Specifically, the flawed “Stimulus Bill” and pork filled budget."

On March 16, San Jose Marriott workers approved a contract with the hotel after months of stalled negotiations and demonstrations in front of the hotel. The new contract reduces housekeeping workloads, maintains affordable health care, and provides solid wage increases. It also creates protections for immigrant workers who make up the majority of the housekeeping staff.
