U2 frontman Bono, wrapped in the U.S. flag and rolling in his money, sings about the poor of the Third World. Makes me think of an early 1980's album from anarchos CHUMBAWAMBA, titled "Pictures of Starving Children sell Records" (Photo: Bono in his bath - "Jeeves, get me another drink!"...

demolished. I did not know that the Israeli Defense Force (IDF)
imposed curfews and shot people who were caught outside after

settlements that they have established within Palestine....

The housing crisis – built into the system
According to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), some 5.3 million households have “worst case” rental housing needs, defined as having a family income less than half the median income in their area and paying more than half of it for rent. Why Do Progressives Praise Eminem, the Bigot?
What is the relationship between that anxiety and the rise of Eminem? That's a question criticism must confront. It's not enough to repudiate his sexism in passing. That's a disclaimer, not an interrogation. It skirts the crucial issue of why this stuff is so hot. And it presumes that we're drawn to rapine rap despite its sexual violence. That's the most dangerous form of denial....

The Terrorism of Everyday Life
This is the Terrorism of Everyday Life, at the most elemental level, aimed at the weakest in our midst: no money for food, for shelter, for the kids, and a President who actually wants to stiffen the work requirements. Thus do we nourish the next generation of Enemy Combatants on the home front....
