Blogs Send Stocks Lower on Talk of Kerry Victory
Traders said part of the stock slide was due to the unconfirmed blog reports. "Apparently the blogs are saying that Kerry is ahead in one or two of the swing states and that's why the market dipped," said Lisa Hansen, head trader at Transamerica Investment Management.
Pro-Kerry campaign-watching sites began trumpeting early exit poll data just before 2 p.m. These included MyDD.com, which said it had access to exit poll data showing Kerry leading in several swing states....

Voting Irregularities in Pittsburgh
A number of voting irregularities in the region have prompted the allegheny county voting protection association to file a motion to keep the polls open until 9pm. One of the key problems is that there are insufficient number of legally required provisional ballots available at the polls.
