I arrived in Calexico with a small group of friends Wednesday
November 7th around 3:00 PM. While arriving at the Calexico/Mexicali
border it was a bit difficult to find the camp. There was a growing
sense of unease as it was unclear how the events of the day would turn
out. Our purpose was to protest the border and unify with activists in Mexico and around the world in creating a world free from the restrictions of capitalism and militarized barriers....

Today approximately 200 people, including activists, migrants, workers, indigenous Cucapá people from Baja California, students, people from Mexicali, all over México and the world converged in Mexicali-Calexico's centres to create the first ever Bi-national No Borders Camp....

A Daily Zine for the No Borders Camp is planned, compiled from stories, transcriptions of audio/video and photos posted to one of the three local imcs: Tijuana (http://tijuana.indymedia.org) Arizona (http://arizona.indymedia.org) or San Diego (http://sandiego.indymedia.org). Absolute cutoff deadline is 10pm - the zine will be available in print and online form the next morning....
