Reid is now opposing the Iraq War because the U.S. is losing; he initially supported the war and backed the invasion. The war is another imperial adventure by the U.S. and there is a growing divide, by those supporters of U.S. imperialism, that a continued war is weakening U.S. imperialism....

Forty groups are appealing to Congress to end funding for the Colombian Military. Reports of various high government officials' ties to the terrorist para-militaries, including the Chief of the Army, highlight the need to end funding. People (“netizens”) across the nation and from overseas showing up to ‘play’ World Without Oil Alternate Reality Game. A grand experiment is now unfolding.
World Without Oil (WWO) went Live on Sunday night April 30th “as $4 pump price looms….” This was supposed to be a concocted headline for a Game launch but the San Jose Mercury News came out with essentially the same headline on April 29 for real....

My letter is my thoughts and appreciation for a SF Chronicle article that detailed the work of protesters demanding apology from the Japanese Consulate in SF for WWII sex slaves. Comprehensive sex education should be taught at schools nation wide. There are many consequences to students not getting all of the facts which include high pregnancy and abortion rates as well as high STD and STI numbers. There are other countries where comprehensive sex ed. is taught and their numbers on all are lower. It also breaks down what is really being taught in all inclusive sex ed. programs....

This short letter is asking those in the position of power to spread awareness of the fact that we as a nation are greatly contributing to climate change and global warming, and that we must mitigate our day to day lifestyles towards a sustainable way of life....

The article briefly describes American's concern of climate change through the process of global warming, caused by excessive carbon emissions. The demonstration was organized nationwide, through emails, blogs and word of mouth communication and was entitled "Step it Up." "Step it Up" refers to the citizen push for congress to require an 80 percent decrease in US carbon emissions, by 2050....
