The Re-Leaf notice of violation hearing has been extended to June 4th due to the yet
uncertain outcome of the deadline extension ordinance. Re-Leaf is in the mist of an
arduous re-location process, and thus must stay open at its current location at
21st St. until they receive a final permit for their new location in SOMA in order
to finance the costly move....

US Representative John Conyers, Chair of the House Judiciary Committee, yesterday sent a letter to Acting DEA Administrator Michele Leonhart, requesting answers by July 1 to pointed questions about an escalation of DEA efforts to undermine California's health care law. Such letters of inquiry typically precede Congressional oversight hearings....

The 7 minute video (below) is an interview with Luke Scarmazzo and Monica Valencia. Both Scarmazzo and Valencia were arrested in the September 2006 raid of a medical marijuana dispensary in Modesto California. The case, which is being heard in Federal Court, started this week in Fresno....
