Did you know that John Kerry and John Edwards are active opponents of media consolidation and active supporters of campaign finance reform? (Did you expect corporate-owned media to tell you about this?) And is it possible that this is why the top executives of most major media corporations--FOX, Viacom, etcetera--oppose (and fear?) a Kerry presidency?...

The presidential general election means a large voter turnout from the workingclass who hopefully will make a difference on the propositions, which is the best reason everyone who can should vote and we will all be watching the state and county propositions, and some local races....

Members of the mainstream press flew into Martha Stewart with more than their usual viciousness following her setting out as a political victim. Having nothing substantial to use against her, they have given negative connotations to her success, mocked the domestic skills upon which she has built her life’s work, twisted what she said and misquoted her, and made hateful remarks that could not have gotten past the editor in the days of ethical media practices. . . ....

A federal judge in Cincinnati early Monday morning issued an order barring political party challengers at polling places throughout Ohio Tuesday.
US District Judge Susan Dlott found that the presence of challengers inexperienced in the electoral process would impede voting.
She ruled that application of Ohio's statute allowing challengers at polling places is unconstitutional.
