We chose the name to make the point that we would offer news and perspectives that went “beyond” what was found in the Bay Area’s largest circulation daily newspaper. 33 KPFA Staff and Listeners Oppose Finance Committee Motion The new Pacifica chair Grace Aaron with the support of past chair Sherry Gendelman and support by KPFA staff representative Brian Edward-Tiekert who has become the new "financial expert" at Pacifica is now pushing a resolution that would allow the managers unilaterally power to remove and eliminate programming for financial reasons. This "emergency" resolution is being proposed to set up national "stars" supported by these people on the national network....

KPFA Women's Magazine Show Call For Support KPFA's Sasha Lilley has unilaterally without any notice shutdown the Women's Magazine show with another show. There is a call to let Lilley and KPFA know what the community thinks about your decision. KPFA's Manager Lemlem Rijio Shuts Down Flashpoints Without Notice For Fund Drive? The manager of KPFA who supported calling the police to the station to arrest Nadra Foster has cancelled the KPFA Flashpoints show at 5:00 PM without written or advance notice. Although this show raises more money than most the manager apparently wants to get it off the air during the fund drive. The managers have written a report that calls for more NPR type programming at Pacifica....
