Not only are Muslims discriminated against and persecuted in Israel-Palestine at the hands of the Israeli army and government, but Christians are also denied their basic human rights and treated as second-class (or worse!) citizens in Israel-Palestine.... just because they are not Jewish!...

The whole world wants peace, except for the hawks in power in our government now (Zionists and Christian Right), and Israel. How many times have you heard Israelis and Zionists say that Jews thrive on conflict and confrontation? I've heard them say it many times and besides it's obvious. Most of the Jewish holidays celebrate some kind of conflict. No wonder there are so many Jewish lawyers! At any rate, when will Zionists embrace equality and justice and inclusiveness? Is this not in thei...

Feb. 15 was a day of global humanitarianism. Millions of people all over the world, especially in western European, demonstrated for peace and against the war on Iraq. They displayed slogans rejecting war, supported a peaceful solution to the crisis and condemned the US president for his threats. The largest demonstrations took place in countries like Britain, Italy, Spain and Australia which support the US-led war. There were demonstrations in the United States and even in Israel....

It's obvious to the detached observer that Israel and Zionist American Jews are driving the war against Iraq. One wonders why are there many Jews in the anti-war against Iraq movement? I can surmise several "reasons": some are truly naive, some hate war in Iraq, but still don't see the connection with Israel somehow, still many are kind of "observers" at best, and "spies" at the worst, and secretly hope for the war on Iraq and all the Muslim countries....

It's hard to take the time to read about all the conflicts in the world. I tend to limit it only to those conflicts that our government gets involved with and more likley than not, the US is on the wrong side, such as currently in Israel....

This is not to argue that the pro-Israeli lobby is the only reason for the projected US war against Iraq. At present, there are several forces in United States that are pushing for this war. Prominent among these indigenous forces are the oil corporations, the arms manufacturers, the aerospace industry, and the right-wing Christian evangelists. However, it is doubtful if these indigenous groups, on their own, could have pushed United States so decisively towards the present catastrophic confr...

In a meeting with U.S. Undersecretary of State John Bolton yesterday, Sharon said that Israel was concerned about the security threat posed by Iran, and stressed that it was important to deal with Iran even while American attention was focused on Iraq.
Bolton said in meetings with Israeli officials that he had no doubt America would attack Iraq, and that it would be necessary thereafter to deal with threats from Syria, Iran and North Korea....

Does this mean that we are going to war for Israel, rather than the United States? That question is incomprehensible to the hawks, who view the two countries as two democracies, shoulder to shoulder in facing the common threat of terrorism. Like the Israelis, the hawks would not stop at Iraq. Instead, Iraq is just a first step in redrawing the map of the entire Middle East. Iraq under a pro-Western leadership, with its enormous oil reserves, would diminish the strategic value of Saudi Arabia ...
