With the city of Oakland set to evict dozens on May 8th, a call goes out to support the houseless folks at Northgate Avenue and 27th Street. Requested items include trashbags, water, coffee, breakfast and other foods. The raid is expected about 7am. Separately, word has gone out that the city will clear encampments at Mosswood Park when they are done with Northgate....

May 1, 2018 was a global day of action against Samsung as well as being International Workers Day around the world. In the South Bay, Samsung protesters joined May Day demonstrators starting at Roosevelt Park in San José and marched to City Hall for a rally attended by members of local, national, and international unions, immigrant rights advocates, affordable housing activists, and Filipino justice campaigners, amongst others....

We launched today in Los Angeles at an event hosted by Black Lives Matter Los Angeles and Dignity and Power Now. On May 4, the Anti Police-Terror Project in Oakland will launch their 21st Century Survival Program at Santa Rita Jail and May 5 we will launch at the State Capital with a rally hosted by Black Lives Matter Sacramento....
