Sixth U.S. Army and Presidio of San Francisco served well durning World War II and helped thousands of people especially in the Pacific Rim area and Europe. In 1995 Sixth U.S. Army and Presidio of San Francisco was deactivated. Many still have fond memories of the Presidio of San Francisco but more of Sixth U.S. Army and the Presidio of San Franciso. More those that served at the Presidio and worked on the Main Post. Also the Letterman Army Medical Center....
