Tuesday, November 25, 2008 :On 30 October 2008, at 10:15am, the Israeli army stormed the faculty of the Palestine Technical College in Arroub refugee camp, Hebron and arrested students from some of the classrooms. The students were blindfolded, shackled, and then repeatedly beaten, slapped, and punched all over the body. They were then taken to Gush Etzion military detention center....

17th of November is the day where the student revolt against the dictatorship in Athens, Greece in 1973 is being commemorated. The 3days festivities lead to a march at the streets of every city in Greece but mainly in central Athens where a usually massive march is organized towards the American embassy that is being blamed of co-operating and imposing the junta at the time....

Friday, November 21, 2008 :On November 14, students in Italy continued to protest against government cuts in higher education. According to organisers, up to 500,000 students demonstrated in a national mobilisation in Rome. Students came to the capital from scores of towns and cities including Milan, Turin, Pisa and Naples. Traffic ground to a halt during the day as the students made their way to the main final rally, held in Piazza Navona....

Students, teachers and lecturers in Italy are continuing to protest the attacks on the right to education and the 130,000 sackings being proposed by the government of Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi. By the November 7 weekend, students had been demonstrating nationally against the measures for more than three weeks. A further mass demonstration is scheduled to go ahead on November 14....
