"3 Hunger strikers are beginning a DRY strike, 10 in solidarity hunger strikers. RALLY AT 9 AM at California Hall. They say they're worried about our health, but they want to turn the sprinklers on us."
Major Rally at 3:30PM Today at California Hall, which is when the UC Berkeley Chancellor is Meeting with the Hunger Strikers, This will only be a 30 minute rally, and is the most critical time so far to come show support.

As of Noon today the Chican@/Latin@ community at Cal, which includes RAZA, Mecha, Xinaxtli etc have called for a Hunger Strike in front of California Hall in response to the new Arizona SB1070 Law and to the charges imposed on student protesters this year (many of whom will be suspended starting next semester). There will be a rally at 7PM and an organizing meeting at 4PM. We will be needing the most support TONIGHT as they plan to camp out and police will most likely be involved....

In one of the largest protest gatherings in recent San Francisco history, several thousand people marched down mission street to the Civic center to protest the recent Arizona legislation directed at un-documented immigrants. May Day, being the traditional labor day, many unions also came out to celebrate the workers holiday and spotlight other issues. The laborer's Union led the march....

The 25th annual Cinco de Mayo celebration in East Palo Alto featured food, flags and fun.
Lay-M-Low displayed some of their cars and a court of Queen and Princesses lined the stage in formal wear. Jorge Prado, mariachis, and the Raging Grannies led the crowd with songs they wrote for immigrant rights and a rousing round of De Colores....
