Representaves of several labor unions marched in San Francisco on labor day, 2006, in solidarity with the immigrant rights movement. HERE, Hotel Employee's and Resturant Employee's Union Local 2, made a strong showing as they marched down Market Street....

A march in support of Immigrant Rights was held in downtown Fresno today. The march, which called for fair and humane immigration reform, was attended by over 500 immigration rights activists and their allies. The marchers went from the Free Speech area at the Fulton Mall to Fresno Street, down R street, and back to the mall for a rally. This Labor Day march was organized by a coalition of immigration rights groups....

An Anti-Immigration counterprotest to Labor Day Pro-Immigrant marches was held Monday morning in San Jose. The Raging Grannies Action League organized a "Clean Up the Hate Brigade" and went into action on the tails of the counterprotestors with mops and featherdusters....
