Homeland Security official caught in child porn sting....a.k.a. It's Times Like These I Especially Appreciate The Police and Prisons!! Yet another reason why we need a system of firm checks and balances in all forms of government. Kudos to this Police Dept. that was not intimidated to take on Homeland Security: the President's personal security force who have the guts to issue "security memos" even though they always seem to have their head up their ass. According to many account...

Note: This is the 68th killing of a woman activist under the Macapagal-Arroyo government and with the ascendancy of Brig. Gen. Jovito Palparan in the Philippine military. Palparan led the Philippine Mission to Iraq which was forced to leave when a Filipino worker was kidnapped. He has a string of human rights violations charges against him, none of which has prospered. During his tenure in the province of Mindoro Oriental, 18 progressives were assassinated, including a young town vice-may...

Amazingly, over 15 Senate Democrats voted to censure Clinton for a blow job, but now can't muster the indignation to tell Bush he was wrong for boldly defying U.S. law and ILLEGALLY spying on Americans! Right now there are only three sponsors of Russ Feingold's bill to censure Bush and it is set to be introduced on the Senate floor this Friday. Tell the cowering Senators: "GET some OVARIES or we will GET YOU OUT!!"...

Abstract: This article will focus on the role of women in three red power events: the occupation of Alcatraz Island, the Fish-in movement, and the occupation at Wounded Knee. Men held most public roles at Alcatraz and Wounded Knee, even though women were the numerical majority at Wounded Knee. Female elders played a significant role at Wounded Knee, where the occupation was originally their idea. In contrast to these two occupations, the public leaders of the Fish-in movement were women—not a...

Not much cause for celebration
As millions of women around the world celebrate
International Women’s Day on the 8th of March, some

she might never return. And many won’t. Iraqi women
face missiles and random shootings by the U.S. and
British forces, terrori...
