Interviewed in San Francisco on July 1, 2009, J. Patrick O'Connor is the author of the 2008 book 'The Framing of Mumia Abu-Jamal' which has been completely ignored by the mainstream media in Philadelphia, despite a New York Times article released on the day of the book's release. As the van rolls over, the driver flies out of the window into a ditch. Several Birmingham police immediately rush in to "get some" and brutally beat the unconscious driver. Apparently, the driver did not even know he had been beaten until he later saw the video, thinking all of his injuries were...

Impact, with the Tin Can Comms Collective, provided logistical communications support for the RNC demonstrations of September 2008 in St. Paul. As local authorities did in conjunction with a number of federal agencies against other activists at the time, from independent media journalists to I-Witness Video to the RNC Welcoming Committee, the working space of the Tin Can Comms collective was pre-emptively raided. Everyone inside was arrested on a flimsy pretext, detained for days, and later...
