Historic Court Ruling for Net Neutrality
It’s being called one of the most important moments in the history of the internet. A federal appeals court, in a 2-1 decision, ruled this week that internet service providers must offer essentially the same protections to users that are required of phone companies. Digital activists are especially celebrating the part of the ruling that says that the FCC can apply its rules to cellphone data as well as home broadband.

Lies the Lobbyists in Berkeley Tell You
There are 2 main lobbyist groups influencing Berkeley city council to vote in favor of big developers. Historical, social, and environmental considerations raised by Berkeley citizens are ignored by the majority of city council, in favor of expensive housing projects that are financially out of reach of low income residents. "Livable Berkeley" and "East Bay Forward" use dishonest rhetoric and social media trolling so developers can make big gains. The lobbyist are bolstered by "Berkeleysid...

UC and the City
The author speaks of more housing on the Berkeley campus being forced by the City. The legalities are simple: the City of Berkeley can't mandate the campus to do anything within its borders. The other reality is the campus is built out and there's no space for on campus housing. That's why the dorms were built on Durant and other streets close to campus in the '60s.

Ed Lee's Shill/Flack Randy Shaw CEO of City Funded THC Wants Press To Get More Lee Support
Randy Shaw who is a shill and flack for SF Mayor Ed Lee is concerned that not enough of Lee's supporters are getting media coverage. Shaw get more than $22 million from Lee for the Tenderloin Housing Center and has a racist history of targeting African American workers who call the place a plantation. Shaw also helped support SEIU 1021 President Roxanne Sanchez by giving her a job at the THC so she could run for SEIU president and supporting Alysabeth Alexander who is the SEIU VP for Politics.

To save Indybay, please pay now; nothing is free
May 31, 2016 started with around $60 out of $1600 and is now at $443 out of $1600. Considering all the postings, and far more viewers probably reading this website, that is shameful. Less than 12 people contributing $100 each for the remaining $1157 would slightly exceed the goal. 24 people contributing $50 each would do the same. We cannot afford to lose this website. Nothing is free and a $1600 goal can easily be realized.

Don't fold IndyBay without further warning!
People get used to seeing desperate fund appeals. Many times people don't know how critical the situation really is. I saw a great newspaper go down that way - The National Guardian, a radical newsweekly out of New York, that published for over forty years. One week there was the kind no of fund appeal readers had seen a hundred times. The next week the paper was gone forever. If we are getting to the brink of losing this fabulous resource, you need to send out an unmistakable SOS to give supporters a last chance to save IndyBay.

Investigations of other TBSC criminals?
Was Dexter Cube reappointed to the Downtown Commission? Has the Santa Cruz Sheriff or Police Department launched investigations of financial fraud involving other TBSC members? Was Dylan Greiner released? Has the Santa Cruz Sheriff or Police Department launched investigations of pedophilia involving other TBSC members? Was James Burtnett incarcerated? Has the Santa Cruz Sheriff or Police Department launched investigations of drug and gang activity involving other TBSC members? Is TBSC pursuing political power and influence in order to make it too difficult for the Santa Cruz Sheriff or Police Department to launch investigations involving other TBSC members?
