Gun control
Gun control laws should be the same all over the United States to help limit the number of deaths. The number of deaths from guns in 2018 makes the last ten years the highest number of gun-related deaths in decades. From 2017 to 2018 the number of deaths increased over 300 according to online statistics. A NY Times 12/18/18 article “Nearly 40,000 People Died From Guns in U.S Last Year, Highest in 50 Years”Nearly 40,000 people have died from guns in 2018 which is very sad to hear about.

A NY Times 11/11/19 article “ I am Desperate for Leadership” on reducing gun violence, States that a group of executives and activists report that one of the biggest issues in the United States is guns. They were in Parkland because the issue of guns has not been solved yet. During the meeting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, two fathers whose kids died during the massacre in Parkland. Nest to the two parents were defenders for the Second Amendment.

The two parties talked and argued causing lots of tension regarding Gun Violence. It is clear that guns are very dangerous if they are misused. When guns are present they can cause harm to people. I strongly believe that if you are 21 years old and meet the qualifications to carry a gun like the state of Texas for example you should be able to feel safe and keep others safe. To qualify for a handgun you can’t be a felon, is a felon that is 5 years removed from felony infractions of probation, or on parole. ( Texas State Library)

I strongly believe that gun laws should be the same in every state because with all of the innocent people dying these past few years people should be able to carry a gun to not only feel safer while carrying it but keep other safe if anything bad happens at any point in time. Mass shootings are happening all over the world and I strongly believe that its time for a change. Sometimes change is good and I believe that allowing open carry in every state will benefit everybody positively.
