John Laird derides Santa Cruz environmentalists

by Meta Self (meta.self [at] cruzio.com)
Laird: business as usual; Democratic Party bullshit; Earth is dying and these arrogant bozos are in charge.
Long time Santa Cruz resident, former Santa Cruz Mayor, and former Secretary of the California Natural Resources Agency John Laird derided Santa Cruz environmentalists tonight during a California State University Monterey Bay panel discussion on the interface of science and public policy. Spinning a yarn about his participation in a public media forum in the aftermath of a deadly California wildfire caused in part by human civilization's global warming, Laird laughingly iterated being disturbed by a man with "black fingernail polish" sitting in the front row of the audience, and staring at him the entire time. At the panel discussion, Laird joked that he thought, "Oh no, who let the Santa Cruz environmentalist in?!" [paraphrase]. But then, he explained, the man turned out to be a legitimate reporter from a major news radio station. So all was well.
