Majority stake owner of Peet’s Coffee & Tea admits to Nazi past

by Lynda Carson (tenantsrule [at] yahoo.com)
Are the good liberal and radical folks of Berkeley, Oakland, and San Francisco spending their hard earned dollars at Peet’s Coffee & Tea, to buy their coffee and tea from a multi-billion dollar company that has past ties to the Nazis and Hitler, when they could be spending their money somewhere else that does not have past ties to the Nazis? Yes indeed, it appears that this may be the case!

Yes indeed, it appears that this may be the case.

The billionaire German Reimann family, owners of JAB Holding Company, the majority stake owner for Peet’s Coffee & Tea, has admitted to having past links to the Nazi’s, and Adolph Hitler’s notorious mass killing regime.

Reportedly,“Spokesman of the Reimann family, Peter Harf, told Bild am Sonntag of plans to give 10 million euros to charity after learning of their elders' support for the Nazis and their company's use of forced labour during the war.”

According to Wikipedia,“In August 2014, under the Peet's Coffee and Tea brand, JAB acquired Mighty Leaf Tea, a specialty tea retailer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. In October 2015, Peet's Coffee & Tea also acquired a majority stake in Chicago-based Intelligentsia Coffee & Tea, making this the second purchase in a month following the acquisition of Portland, Oregon's Stumptown Coffee.”

Peet’s Coffee & Tea has numerous locations in Berkeley, including Oakland, and San Francisco.
