Gov Newsom, Cancel The Tetra Tech Contract After The Criminal Fraud At SF Hunters Point

On MLK day on January 21, 2019 on the stairs of the California State Building in San Francisco, SF Hunters Point shiyard residents, health and community advocates and attorneys demanded that Governor Gavin Newsom immediately cancel a state contract the State of California has signed with the criminal company Tetra Tech to clean up t.he Camp fire in Butte County.
They charged that the company has been systemic record of fraud and corruption as well as retaliation against whistleblowers who have exposed the company for criminal violations of the law. Two managers of Tetra Tech are presently in Federal prison for committing fraud on the US government and firing workers for exposing the systemic corruption. They also declared that Governor Gavin Newsom who is the former mayor of San Francisco had ignored the residents and extensive evidence of the illegal improper clean-up of the shipyard that has contaminated thousands of residents with cases of cancer and other diseases.
Speakers also talked about the serious continuous health dangers and that this contract was a "slap on the face" for the residents of the San Francico Hunters Point shipyard.
Dr. Ahimsa Porter Sumchai also reported that San Francisco mayor London Breed continues to employ DPH Health Engineer Amy Browell whos salary is paid for by the Lennar corporation which is the developer of the Hunters Point shipyard project.
