SF Military Style Fireworks Unwanted

by SF Native
First a lot of flashing light, then a tremendous banging noise we experienced about 5 times from 10 pm to 10:30 pm on 7/4/18 around 2 miles from Fisherman's Wharf, past 3 hills, near Union Square. That was not entertainment; that was a frightening battle scene.

The annual San Francisco fireworks show to celebrate the theft of Native American land to build a country on slave labor and the exploitation of the labor of all nationalities held at Fisherman's Wharf started at 9 p.m. with the usual distance rumbling. This entertainment for 8 year old mentalities became, for the first time in memory after many decades of experiencing this low rumbling over and over again, a reminder of the horrors of war. We could see and hear this ominous flashing light and horrific banging sound at ground level in the fog. Resting in our apartments, far from the water, we do not see color lights. If this was to overcome the fog so people could see color lights, the fireworks should be moved to the Candlestick stadium area, where it used to be, or better yet, south or east of San Francisco, beyond the fog.

Now we have 2 annual reminders of war in San Francisco, the 4th of July fireworks and the October Columbus Genocide 4-day strafing of San Francisco with the Navy's Blue Death, flying illegally so low over our heavily populated city that we cannot hear ourselves think or talk, while we see the yellow letters "US Navy" on the bottom of their war planes. All we are missing, of course, is massive peace demonstrations to put an end to the war machine and the destruction of our economy by the war profiteers.
