2018 Juneteenth - US Census of Agriculture

by Khubaka, Michael Harris
Everyone should take the time to reflect upon the final Confederate Port, Galveston Island, Texas and honor the legacy of the US Colored Troops, many who used military pay and pensions to become Black Agriculture Producers.

Our unique California Juneteenth story is poised for a special year round celebration as we share the good news.

God told Abram, Know for certain that your descendants would be foreigners in a strange land, that is not their own, they will be enslaved and mistreated four hundred years.
But, I will judge the nation they serve as slaves, and afterward they will depart with many possessions.

1619-2019 is four hundred years for those who answer to previous condition of servitude and are descendants of Abram.

The USDA will always be America's Last Plantation, as hard fought gains since Abraham Lincoln created the "People's Department" move towards "A New Day at the USDA."

As the 2018 US Farm Bill, @800 billion dollar allocation of tax payer resources, hit the US Senate Floor around Juneteenth it is appropriate to reflect on an amazing journey.

USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) is wrapping up data collection for the 2017 Census of Agriculture.

The official survey of all Ag producers in America deadline is Juneteenth.

USDA-NASS is reminding farmers and ranchers that the deadline for submitting the hard copy questionnaire is June 15, 2018.

However, thise who prefer to submit their data digitally will have until the end of July to complete the Census online.

Phone follow-up and personal interviews also will continue through July.

“The Census of Agriculture provides the only source of comprehensive agricultural data for every state and county in the nation,” stated USDA Secretary Sonny Perdue. “These data are used to make important local, state, and national decisions that will have a very real impact on farmers, ranchers, ag operations, and rural communities. I encourage producers to respond online or to send in their paper form today.”

Federal law, Title 7 USC 2204(g) Public Law 105-113, requires NASS to keep all information confidential, to use the data only for statistical purposes, and to only publish in aggregate form to prevent disclosing the identity of any individual producer or farm operation.

Throughout the State of California, farmers of Pan African ancestry are less than 1/3 of 1 percent of official Ag producers.

The journey remains unspoken, unknown and indeed underserved yet still rising in a good way.

The California Fugitive Slave Act of 1852 was established in the the Capitol, in the City of Vallejo, Solano County where a separate and distinct survey of underserved Ag producers is being offered as a positive way forward with little cognition of the current reality.

The legacy of the California Bear Flag Revolt, California Statehood, systemic disenfranchisement of today's underserved remains on point as biblical prophecy mandates a positive way forward.

The US Census of Agriculture will provide official baseline data to qualify, quantify and measure the efficacy of the 2018 Agriculture Improvement Act since the creation of America's Last Plantation.

Everyone should take the time to reflect upon securing the final Confederate Port at Galveston Island Texas and the 1500+ US Colored Troops who rode throughout Texas freeing those enslaved while establishing a secure border with Mexico.

Happy Juneteenth - fill out your Census of Agriculture or so so online before July 31, 2018.
