In a milestone political development, the California Green Party has endorsed 4 socialist Peace & Freedom Party candidates; namely, John Thompson Parker for US Senate, Mary Lou Finley for Controller, Kevin Akin for Treasurer, and Nathalie Hrizi for Insurance Commissioner, because Peace & Freedom Party, like the Green Party, opposes corporate-funded campaigns.

We are just 5 weeks before the June 5, 2018 election, with vote by mail starting May 7, 2018, so this joining of forces of the 2 pro-labor, pro-peace, pro-environment parties on the ballot will help both parties achieve their goals of improving the lives of the working class and saving Planet Earth.

The November 2016 presidential election marked the end of an era when the Democrats could claim to care about the workingclass, with their promotion, often fraudulently, of a millionaire, pro-war candidate who happened to be female, Hillary Clinton, and then when the Republican Party again, as they did in 2000 and 2004, tossed the black vote in the contested states to, this time install a former lifelong Democrat who gave thousands of dollars to the Democratic Party and the Clinton Foundation, now Republican Trump, who is a viciously reactionary, anti-labor, racist, anti-women, pro-war billionaire thug, the Democratic Party resurrected the anti-Russian hysteria of 1917-1991 promoted by both Republicans and Democrats, even though Russia had nothing to do with the 2016 election, is now a capitalist state, and was the victim of American interference in their elections in 1996 to install reactionary Boris Yeltsin.

There is much work to be done to make the unity of Peace & Freedom Party and the Green Party a strong electoral force. First and foremost, they both need your registration to stay on the ballot. Currently, Peace & Freedom Party has 75,000 California members and the Green Party has 91,000 California members. See http://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/report-registration/report-registration-january-2-2018/ In the November 2016 election, the California Green Party candidate for president, Jill Stein, received 278,657 votes and Peace & Freedom Party’s candidate for president, Gloria LaRiva, received 66,101 votes, both totals being extraordinary since voters usually vote Democrat in California for top positions, which means this time, the “lesser evil” lie is now apparent to many more people. For presidential vote totals in California, see http://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/prior-elections/statewide-election-results/general-election-november-8-2016/statement-vote/

If you moved, you must re-register. If you are still "No Party Preference," please do your share to help one of these parties with your registration now. You can register online at https://covr.sos.ca.gov/?language=en-US
