Supreme Court Ruled that Police Do Not Have to Protect Individuals

by Ban All Guns
The Supreme Court has ruled in Castle Rock v Gonzales, 545 U.S. 748 (2005) that the police do not have to protect individuals. That is why they did not bother to enter the Parkland, Florida high school to save lives on February 14, 2018. That means there is no reason for armed thugs, the police, on our payroll. The police are not social workers; they are the armed terrorists of the ruling capitalist class.

Since the 4 deputy sheriffs and the on-campus cop were no match for the terrorist military weapon, AR-15, they could have called for backup of all of the police, sheriffs, National Guard and US military in Florida, which exist by the thousands, but never did so. Instead, they sat and waited for the killing to stop, which it did when the gun jammed, and then the shooter ran away, and the police finally chased after him. They later found he had 150 rounds of ammunition. A round can include 25 shots. He went to the school with 10 rounds of ammunition because that is all his duffel bag could hold. He was caught calmly walking away after he had gone to a Subway restaurant inside a Walmart. This capture was 70 minutes after his killing spree resulting in 17 deaths and 15 injuries, many serious and permanently damaging. See

The shooter was known for many years by the police and the school which had expelled him to be mentally ill, yet the military knowingly trained this mentally ill child in high school in their JROTC program to kill. The shooter did his killing in his JROTC shirt. JROTC and ROTC should be banned and the entire military should be abolished since the military only exists to maximize the profits of the oil companies and the munitions companies.

This mandates immediate dismissal of all police forces since their job description does not even include saving lives. For more on the fascist nightmare known as Police State USA, see
“Armed and Dangerous: If Police Don’t Have to Protect the Public, What Good Are They” by John W. Whitehead, 3/2/18 at

San Francisco spends $583 million are year on police who by law are not required to protect individuals. Each cop receives $100,000 a year and up plus benefits, including excellent medical and pension benefits that most of us never receive. All of that money could easily house the 21,000 homeless in San Francisco. We cannot have guns and butter.

The only viable position on the police state is: Ban all guns including the 300 million guns in the hands of the 80 million American adults who insist on owning guns, including hunters, as well as in the hands of the police, the military and prison guards, ban the police, ban the military, ban the prison-punishment system and ban the death penalty.
