Effects of the removal of DACA
With the removal of DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals), lives will be extremely impacted and years of hard work and effort will be taken away without any remorse. So many people had the opportunity to go to college, start a fulfilling career, and were able to help out their family with the help of DACA. These individuals took great advantage of the benefits and opportunities the program offered and it seems inhumane to suddenly take that all away from them.
For the DACA recipients that went to college to pursue a career, they spent a tremendous amount of money since they couldn’t get financial aid or take out any loans and to think that all of the money put into their future will have been all for nothing is just devastating to hear. DACA recipients have shown how hard they’ve worked to get to where they are today, they fought hard to push forward and make a better living for themselves, as well as their family who many of the recipients in fact support their family and help them out as much as they can. Jobs will have no choice but to fire DACA recipients once their permits expire; they will have to start from scratch all over again and find new ways to be able to maintain themselves and their families.
