The New Colossus by Emma Lazarus

Aside from the fact that fields are being plowed under due to lack of a labor force, usually undocumented immigrants, and that restaurants are begging for workers, for anyone on the government's payroll, as is Zionist Fascist Stephen Miller, Nazi Trump's senior White House policy adviser, to attack the beautiful poem on the Statute of Liberty, The New Colossus by Emma Lazarus (1849-1887), is a mandate to fire not only Stephen Miller but the entire illegal Trump Regime, immediately. If you do not already have this poem memorized, it is below.

When we hear the garbled gibberish of the current illegal "president" Trump, we are reminded of the low level of education that he and his ilk have, which is apparently considered suitable to hold any office in this backward country that still does not have socialized medicine and still has the death penalty. Neither Trump nor Miller nor any of the rest of the Trump Gang can write or speak as well as Emma Lazarus. It is the kind of poem all school children should memorize so they understand what is good writing.

The New Colossus:

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
MOTHER OF EXILES. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.

"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
