What's Left after Brexit?

While it's axiomatic that any major political movement necessarily include multiple actors, many holding contradictory motives and goals, the fundamental fact remains that the Brexit decision sent a major shock wave across the entire Globalized Capitalist World Order, one that had held ideological hegemony on the Planet since WW II.

The progressive Left supported the Exit from the Euro project because it can clearly see that the top 1% is accelerating its class warfare to install Austerity on the bottom 99%. Just witness the result from the defeat of last year's Grexit, in which the Euro Troika dictated a Mafioso "offer that can't be refused" to the pseudo-Left Syriza-led Greek government. The predictable outcome? The Euro "Bailout" only benefited the Banksters, while the Greek working class got massive cuts in pension benefits and continuing high unemployment, and the national economy is still in a freefall to the Abyss.

More critically, progressive Socialists also recognize that the Brexit represents an objective rejection by an increasing global majority that the post-War NeoLiberal narrative that giving free rein to Private Capital to design and direct the current economic and political world order, would lead to common prosperity. For over 7 decades after WW II, the Capitalist world order was the dominant philosophical current in the civilized world(with notable temporary exceptions during limited periods of genuine socialist experiments in the USSR, China and Cuba). But the Brexit truly represents a 21st century revolt by the oppressed to the runaway Disaster Train of the now-Clunkered Capitalist Calamity.

To the workers of the world, you now have nothing to lose but the chains to your ideological liberation! It is high time for the 99% of our 7+ billion Planetary allies to bravely go forward to create and develop more egalitarian, sustainable and collaborative future alternatives.
