San Francisco housing activists and community members rallied to report on the failure of the Maximus Real Estate Partners to purchase a development project at the corner of Mission and 16th St. in the Mission.
"No More Monsters In The Mission" Victory In Fight For Worker & Poor Housing In SF
The developer Maximus Real Estate Partners was stopped from a massive new development of luxury condos in the San Francisco at the corner of 16th and Mission Street where there is also a public school. Thousands of workers and poor have been evicted and driven out of San Francisco and labor and community members are fighting back.
This rally took place on August 24, 2015 at 16th and Mission Street next to the proposed development.
The San Francisco Labor Council voted to oppose the development and also voted to support a moratorium on luxury condo developments in the Mission.
