"The Swedish Flotilla"
"The Swedish Flotilla" to reach the Port of Gaza. Four small boats, loaded with medical equipment and solar panels to generate electricity, do not constitute the slightest threat to Israel's security.
The arrival of the boats with their humanitarian cargo at Gaza would be a modest good will gesture by the State of Israel. An image which is the main reason for the increasing acts of boycott against Israel all over the world.
Gaza was one of the major cities--the Palestinians still live there--of course Israel has now incorporated the Gaza Strip into Israel. It's now a part of the occupied territories, they've just stolen away the whole country! It was called Palestine by the Romans, in Latin, and came from "Philistia," which was the name of the country way back under the Philistines. It was the name of the country for thousands of years till the Jews came along .
In 1993, during negotiations in Oslo, Israel and the Palestinians agreed to mutual recognition and limited self-rule for Palestinians in Jericho and Gaza. They also agreed to conclude a permanent treaty that would resolve the status of Gaza and the West Bank. In 1994, Israel and Jordan signed a peace treaty in which Jordan won control of Muslim holy sites in Jerusalem. Jordan’s King Hussein had previously renounced claims to the West Bank in favor of the Palestinians
They’ve got all of Israel and they’ve got all of Jerusalem and they want to keep it all and they don’t have any intention of sharing it with anybody.
