Worldwide Grassroots Support Going to Kobane and Rojava

Kobane is out of the headlines, but please let us not forget that people there are living amidst a city utterly reduced to rubble. Children walk to school along apocalyptic streets and sit in classrooms perforated by islamic state artillery a few months ago. But the fight for Kobane is not over: the grassroots democratic project there will only survive if we help it rebuild. So please consider if there is any way you or your organization can contribute to these efforts as well, Kobane needs serious mutual aid or it may still fall to the islamic state, Syrian government, or IMF.

This is an article about how assistance is starting to flow from the European grass roots: funds, medicines, medical equipment and other resources are starting to flow from people to people but more is needed.

Tens of thousands of euros have been donated by anarchists, communists and partygoers in Germany, including this initiative in which many bars and clubs donated the evening´s proceeds to Rojava. The project "night life for Rojava" in Berlin sent Rojava 20,000 Euros:
