Indigenous Lives Don't Matter to CalTrans\CHP - another attack on O2D site planned

by 2-feather (parkguard [at] riseup.net)
CHP and CarTrance plan another raid on the O2D site while O2D founder is scheduled for court

For about the past year now, in the absence of any semblance of an Occupy movement in downtown Oakland, Native Elder and O2D [Occupy 2 Decolonize] founder Zachary Runningwolf has maintained and resided at the O2D site, a 10-acre parcel of land adjacent to the segment of I-580 between Martin Luther King St. and Bro'way St. [formerly known as Broadway St.], which has been reclaimed in the name of Indigenous sovereignty and in defense of Mother Earth.

But KarTrance [CalTrans], always the villian, has announced that they want to conduct yet another raid on the O2D site [and will probably bring the Citizen-Hating Police (CHP) along as hired muscle ] on Wednesday, Jan. 15th [Martin Luther King's birthday, coincidence?], which also just happens to be the day for a scheduled court appearance by Runningwolf. At 9am in Dept. 115 at the Wile E. Coyote kangaroo courthouse at Washington and 7th Sts. in downtown Oaktown, The Man wants to try to put Runningwolf away for 45 days for `vandalism', to-wit, painting the stage in Peoples' Park in Berzerkeley, a matter on which Runningwolf has already served a 45-day sentence.
