This 48th Season of Kwanzaa our “California Grown” Pan African Agriculture Holiday will focus on basic fundamentals of youth urban agriculture and expanded global agribusiness.

In the heart of the California Central Valley, a positive way forward to expand the renaissance of strong connections to the land honoring the ancient sacred science of Agriculture. What is a water, soil, sun, plant, fruit, vegetable and seed? Can you teach a child the principles and symbols of the Kwanzaa season?

Kwanzaa, our “California Grown” international holiday was created by Dr. Maulana Karenga and the US Organization, December 1966 and now is celebrated throughout the world.

Kwanzaa utilizes the language of Kiswahili, a modern language, that originated during trade of enslaved African's beginning in 1698 on the spice island of Zanzibar, today's Tanzania.

At the Fresno County Public Library, an amazing Kwanzaa display targets youth education, literacy and multicultural outreach. Together, we are bringing greater awareness and understanding to the Kwanzaa Holiday, December 26-January 1, 2015.

The California Black Agriculture Working Group, year-round showcases Kwanzaa throughout the State of California. The Central Valley, from the foot of Mt. Shasta to Bakersfield, we are expanding future opportunity while preserving an amazing historical legacy of our amazing contributions to our sacred science of Agriculture industries.

Basic expansion and knowledge of the principles and symbols of Kwanzaa, mirror the ongoing challenge toward achieving equity and equal opportunity throughout the California Agriculture industries.

Preparations continue throughout the California Central Valley toward family, private and community celebrations during the 7 day Kwanzaa holiday. Throughout the “greatest garden in the world” interfaith leaders are challenged to demonstrate leadership and consider the scripture Proverbs 3 Chapter, “First Fruits of the Harvest,” a few brave faith based leaders of African ancestry continue to lead by example.

Fresno, California is the hub of the #1 Agriculture community in the world and sister city with Morogoro, Tanzania. Documenting and expanding current California Pan-African trade and commerce is desired outcome this 48th Kwanzaa season.

Together, we prepare for mutually benificial cooperative economics that builds stronger cultural exchange during this Kwanzaa season and prepare for the 2015 World Ag Expo, California fulfilling the stated objectives of H.E. President Jakaya Kikwete, Republic of Tanzania and President Barack Obama, United States of America.
