Forum On Richmond Progressive Alliance, Workers And Marxism
A forum was held on Sunday September 21, 2014 on the Richmond Progressive Alliance and Marxism with a focus on it's role in labor struggles in the City of Richmond and the bullying of city workers to stop the exposure of corruption by Leslie Knight the former Human Resource Director and the cover-up of this corruption by Richmond city manager Bill Lindsay.
A Marxist Analysis of the RPA
Speakers included Charles Smith, Richmond Resident and AFSCME 444 Delegate To Alameda Labor Council and member of the United Public Workers For Action, Richmond City worker and whistleblower Stacie Plummer, Nina Smith who is an attorney and Charles Rachlis of the CWG and UPWA, Albert Dragstedt a member of the Peace and Freedom Party and professor spoke on the Richmond Progressive Alliance and Marxism in Richmond. The forum was introduced by Eugene Ruyle of the library and the Peace and Freedom Party. The corruption in Richmond by top city officials and the cover-up of this corruption by the politicians of Richmond was also discussed as well as the epidemic of workplace bullying to terrorize public workers to stop their whistleblowing and the refusal to demand the firing of City Manager Bill Lindsay who was an accomplice to the bullying and union busting by officials under his control.
