Right Sector’s Borislav Bereza Visits San Francisco

Saturday night, the 30th, an event was held in downtown San Francisco where people were invited to discuss the Ukrainian fascist group "Right Sector" with it's very own press secretary, Borislav Bereza.

The event was small, not more than 20 people in attendance, but it is nonetheless troubling that such a relatively high-ranking member of Right Sector could feel comfortable showing his face in this city. The event itself was entirely in Russian with no translation available, so very little information was gleaned from it, however we find some consolation in their self-marginalization via language barriers.

This emergence of Right Sector in the United States is unfortunately not the first. So far this summer, Right Sector has hosted meet ups in multiple cities on the east coast (local antifas can email us for more info, if we haven't contacted you already) and even held a demonstration in New York City.

Due to the short notice we had of the event being held, we were not prepared to fully disrupt it, however it was infiltrated and a comrade managed to briefly interrupted them before leaving.

Next time, they will think twice before organizing publicly or at all.

I suppose it was possible he spoke in Russian to a Russian speaking audience. But are you sure it wasn't Ukrainian to a Ukrainian speaking audience? They are very similar languages and I used to be able to get by in a Ukrainian speaking barbershop with my Russian (like "nye takshe karotke" or "not too short", etc.) However the point I am making is that unless your person inside was told "in Russian" or had enough language skills to distinguish between them, I wouldn't assume it was Russian. I couldn't tell them apart by "the sound of it".

Our person inside was specifically told it was in Russian. The irony of Ukrainian nationalists speaking Russian is not lost on us.

The City of San Francisco votes 80% Democrat for the leading Democrats, like president, on the ballot. They voted for Obama twice, despite his reactionary voting record in the US Senate and his reactionary record as president. There is no difference between Democrat Obama and Republican Romney; they are the same when it comes to the Ukraine, and all other foreign policy as both parties proudly announce they have no difference on foreign policy. The Democrat-Republicans knowingly, with malice aforethought, installed via a fascist coup the Confederate and Nazi flag wavers now in office in Ukraine. Thus, having a fascist Right Sector representative show up in San Francisco is entirely appropriate. In 2012, San Francisco voted 83% for Obama, 88% for Senator Feinstein, and 85% for Rep Pelosi. The reactionary Top Two primary eliminated viable alternatives on the November ballot for US Senate and Congress, but for president, which is not subject to Top Two, Green Party candidate for president Jill Stein got 5,494 or 1.52% of the San Francisco vote, and Peace & Freedom Party candidate for president Roseanne Barr got 1,897 votes or .52% of the vote. There is nothing progressive about a city that willfully, with knowledge of the president's record, voted for evil, whether they voted 83% for Democrat Obama, 301,723 votes or 13% for Republican Romney, 47,076 votes, knowing they had choices on the November ballot. You may saying voting does not matter, but we are talking about the most educated people of a given area since they are the most likely voters, and we are talking about foreign policy of the US in Nazi Ukraine, proudly supported by Democrats and Republicans alike, which is why this country is best described as Nazi USA. If that bothers you, always vote for the anti-fascist Peace & Freedom or Green Parties, and if their candidates are not on the ballot for a given position, skip that position.
