Community Alliance newspaper editor Ernesto Saavedra hosted of the Street Heat radio show on KFCF 88.1 FM (June 27, 2014). Guests included Juan "Ralphy" Avitia and Pastor Chris Breedlove about how the Fresno Police Department labeled Breedlove the "leader" of the resistance movement against the demolition of homeless encampments and the Fresno Brown Berets as the "muscle". The second half of the show was about recent police shootings. Guests for this segment were Avitia and Aurora Figuerora, the mother of Martin Figuerora whose son was shot and killed by the police last month.
