"GMOs could be OK" - from Monning staff member!
One of Bill Monning's staff members is starting to say that "GMOs could be OK."
Alert: From Pamm Larry of LabelGMOs.org "We got word this week that one of Bill Monning's staff members is starting to say that GMOs could be OK."
Monning needs to hear from us! Take 3 minutes and Call one of the numbers below NOW or in the next few days. Tell Monning to co-author and vote for the new CA GE Labeling bill SB1381.
State Capitol office: (916) 651-4017
Santa Cruz office: (831) 425-0401
Monterey office: (831) 657-6315
Use your own words or script provided below. When you call, state your name and address (so they know you are one of Monning's constituents). You will talk to a staff member. Say - or paraphrase:
"Please ask Senator Monning to co-author and vote YES on SB1381, the 2014 GE Food Labeling bill. I am one of the 93% of Americans who want to know if my food has been genetically engineered."
If you get an answering machine - leave the same message. Monning's staff has assured us that all of our messages will be given to Monning before he votes on the bill.
Please make this call today or tomorrow. The first hearing for the bill is on Wednesday, March 26th at 1:30pm in the Health Committee.
Thanks so much for continuing to do your part in this ongoing struggle!!
