California Rosa Parks Birthday Celebration ~ Global Intermodal Transportation Systems

by Khubaka, Michael Harris
California is the only state to officially recognize the birth of Rosa Parks, through legislation to honor our American icon. February 4 is the birth date of Rosa Louise McCauley Parks and the Interstate Commerce Commission, a date with destiny was written long ago. From the back of the bus, train, plane, ship, space shuttle and sidewalk people of African ancestry in America have a unique relationship with transportation systems. Today, a new paradigm is at hand, standing on the shoulders of Rosa Parks and the "unknown" sistas of the Women's Political Council in the Heart of Dixie, the capitol of the Confederate States of America.
