Obama’s NSA Speech: What He Said, What He Didn’t Say & What He Should Have Said

A conversation with Hanni Fakhoury - Staff Attorney, Electronic Frontier Foundation

It has been six months since Edward Snowden ignited a fierce international debate over the scope and nature of the National Security Agency’s massive electronic eavesdropping programs. The debate has been especially heated in the US, where citizens and residents learned that the data from practically every telephone call is being intercepted and stored by the NSA.

The public outcry was great enough to force President Obama to address the controversy in a much-touted policy speech on January 17. In this month’s forum, we’ll examine Obama’s response in detail.

Join us for this live TV broadcast and take part in the conversation. We devote a substantial portion of every forum to dialoge with our audience members. So come with your questions and comments and be a part of it! It’s free and wheelchair accessible.
