CNA Sutter Nurses Fight For Staffing And Against Union Busting At Alta Bates Hospital
The Sutter hospital chain has launched a direct attack on the CNA nurses and the public by laying off a large number of staff at Alta-Bates Hospital and also flagrantly violating the union contract which was just signed.
CNA nurses from Sutter and other hospitals throughout Northern California
protested rallied and marched at Berkeley Sutter Alta Bates hospital
against a frontal attack on hospital staffing, attack on seniority and
open union busting by the "non-profit" hospital chain. Despite
negotiating a new contract the hospital chain bosses are flagrantly
violating the contract rules and language. Nurses warned that the
health and safety of patients and the public as well as hospital workers
are under attack.
