The Oakland City Council's Public Safety Committee meeting on May 22, 2012, was held in the main council chamber due to the size of the crowd that turned out to protest the Tools of Violence proposal at the time. Tonight, it's up for a vote again and may very well pass. Here's the full video of the epic 2-hour debate the first time local activists stood up to the council's plans.
