Draft EIS Now Up for Review

The draft EIS for the Shasta Lake Water Resources Investigation is now out for review.
Public workshops to review the Shasta Lake Water Resources Investigation (Dam raising etc.) are planned by the BOR for Tuesday, July 16, 6-8pm, Holiday Inn Palomino Room, 1900 Hilltop Drive, Redding Calif; Wednesday July 17, 1-3pm Cal Exp Quality Inn Hotel 1413 Howe Ave in Sacramento; and Merced County Fairgrounds, Germino Bldg 403 F st in Los Banos from 6-8pm. Three formal public hearings are scheduled later in the year: Tuesday Sept 10, Holiday Inn Palomino Rm 1900 Hilltop Dr in Redding, Ca. from 6-8pm; Wednesday Sept 11 at Cal Exp Quality Inn 1413 Howe Ave in Sacramento 1-3pm; and Thurday, Sept 12 at Merced County Fair Grounds in Germino Bldg 403 F st. in Los Banos from 6-8 pm. File your formal comments at one of the above or see below.

Also be aware that "the Forest Service is required to provide for a predecisional comment and objection process, and to notify concerned persons of the requirement to comment on the Draft EIS related to Forest Service actions in order to object to future draft Forest Service decisions.
