In San José, Marchers Say No to Monsanto

by Ryobo
Organizers called for community members to deepen their commitment in the fight against Monsanto by boycotting Kellogg brand products. They encouraged everyone to stop using the heavily advertised RoundUp pesticide and continue the campaign to see that GMO foods are properly labeled.

Marchers made their way from San José State University to Cesar Chavez Plaza Park's South Side in San José on Saturday, raising one loud voice for the "Say No to Monsanto" movement.

Participants with drums and rattles drew attention to the cause as marchers paraded through the city streets.

In the South Bay the San José Raging Grannies sang for the audience; at the same time their sister Grannies had the singalong portion of another Monsanto protest covered in the city of San Francisco.

Across the world on the same day there were similar protests against Monsanto in over 400 cities.
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
