AFSCME3299 & CWA UPTE9119 UC Workers Strike At UCSF-Stop The Attacks On Patients & Workers

Thousands of UC hospital workers struck against concession demands by the CEO's and UC Regents. Striking workers at UCSF talked about the issues they face the the fight to protect UC patients and their conditions and benefits.
Hundreds of striking AFSCME 3299 and CWA UPTE 9119 workers
along with supporters joined the picket lines at the UCSF Parnassus
campus on May 21, 2013. The demanded an end to the concessions
being proposed by the managers and UC Regents including Richard
Blum, the billionaire husband of Diane Feinstein.
UCSF workers including service workers and nurses reported that the
health and safety of patients is under threat and the layoff of 300
workers has harmed the care of the patients.
