Rosie says:No Double Standard! Richmond Speakout April 2-No Justice No Peace

by United Public Workers For Action UPWA
Despite the brazen corruption and bullying Leslie Knights, the Human Resources Director in Richmond the city manager still refuses to fire her or even remove her. The Contra Costa District Attorney is also refusing to investigate and prosecute in a blatant double standard. If this was a rank and file public worker they would have been taken off the job and jailed the person

Rosie says:
No Double Standard!
Assistant City Manager Leslie Knight’s gross salary in 2011 was $281,507. She is one of 2.2% of Richmond residents making over $199,999 a year. Independent investigators found Ms. Knight guilty of misappropriation of City funds and using City offices, phones and workers for her private business.
Richmond is a working class community that cannot afford to have its City coffers robbed by management.
Ms. Knight has used and abused City workers, having them work for her private company on City time and retaliating against them if they refused.

We have banks that are too big to fail, bankers that are too big to jail. Is Ms. Knight too big to be fired and prosecuted?
NO WHITEWASHING, NO OBFUSCATING, NO APOLOGY.
NO JUSTICE! NO PEACE!

§City Manager Bill Lindsay Cover-up

Richmond city manager Bill Lindsay has refused to remove the Richmond City Human Resources Director Leslie Knight despite evidence of financial malfeasance and bullying and harassment of city employees who are whistleblowers as well as many other workers. He has massive evidence of an illegal witch hunt against many city workers for whistleblowing but wants to keep Knight in her job.
§Contra Costa DA Mark A. Peterson MIA

Contra Costa District Attorney still refuses to prosecute the corrupt City of Richmond Human Resources Director Leslie Knight. If this was a rank and file city worker they would have been arrested on the job and face prison time. Apparently being a human resources manager of the City of Richmond provides special rights above rank and file workers.
