Oakland City Council to consider "Super-Cop" contract

On Tuesday, 01.22.2013, the Oakland City Council will consider Mayor Jean Quan's proposal to sign a $250,000 contract with Bill Bratton, former NYPD and LAPD Chief turned global security, policing, surveillance, and mercenary consultant. A rally against the contract will be held outside Oakland City Hall at 5:00 pm, and the meeting will begin at 5:30 pm.
